Caldwell Advanced Opportunity Summer School
This summer school opportunity is for students who want to accelerate their high school academic experience through the Fast Forward program. Classes will be offered to current 6th through 11th grade students-all classes are high school level. Classes will be offered in a blended model with some mandatory face to face and some online class work. Adv Opps Summer School will be held at CHS. Dates can be found on the brochure. Caldwell School District will provide an exciting new opportunity for students wishing to take overload courses during the summer.
The Advanced Opportunities Summer School Program will be a blended model of some face to face instruction and some online coursework. Two credits may be earned for a yearlong course and one credit may be earned for a semester course, truly accelerating the student to move more rapidly through high school material.
Courses will be open for students currently in 6th through 11th grades.
This program is ideal for those who want a blended learning model with small class size, a teacher in the room and personalized learning with flexibility to work independently. Students will attend class 2 days a week with the teacher available one additional day each week. Remaining coursework will be completed online through Google Classroom or Schoology.
College and Career experiences will be offered during the Adv Opps summer school including college visits, guest speakers, and personalized counseling for post high school planning.
