AP Physics C
Grades 11, 12 Elective Course Year Course
Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Engineering. Proficient scores or higher on standardized tests. Successful completion (C or better) or concurrently enrolled in AP Calculus AB/BC or AP Stats.
AP Physics C is a calculus based, college-level physics course. Students cultivate their understanding of Physics through inquiry-based investigations as they explore topics such as Newtonian mechanics (including rotational motion); work, energy, and power; mechanical waves and sound; and modeling systems. The course will employ a flipped classroom and as such will include 7-10 hours of homework per week. Students will be expected to take the AP Physics C Test in May.
